Wat mij vooral bij is gebleven is dat Giolina echt datgene doet wat je van haar vraagt en/of verwacht. Tijdens mijn proefsessie heeft ze mijn haar en make-up aangebracht zoals ik dat aangaf, ingetogen! Na afloop bleek dat ingetogen niet was wat ik op onze huwelijksdag hoorde te zijn. Hierop hebben wij gebeld om door te spreken wat de bedoeling wel was, namelijk full glamour! En op onze dag heeft Giolina wederom een prachtige prestatie geleverd. Ik was het mooiste meisje van de dag, iedereen bleef maar zeggen hoe mooi ik was, ik leek op een filmster. Being newly weds AND living together for the first time AND finishing our renovated home AND on top of it having to deal with a global crisis and basically spending 24/7 together, because we also work at the same office.. well.. it’s been quite a journey 😉 I’m going to be honest with you guys, because here we are at Dusty Blue, sharing all these gorgeous photos, tips and vendors for a beautiful wedding day, but the truth is: the life that starts AFTER that beautiful day just isn’t always as beautiful. Even when you’ve been together for ten years already (yes, we also have a ten year anniversary! 🥳) Over this last year I have learned that a happily ever after isn’t something you just ’get’ when you say ‘I do’, a good marriage is something you really have to earn by both working hard for it. If there’s one piece of advice I would love to pass on to all brides reading this, it’s this: You know how people often tell you a relationship is “giving and taking”? It’s not true. ❌ Taking is selfish and in a good marriage, or any relationship actually, there is no room for selfishness. ‘Taking’ often causes fights and arguments. I believe in “giving and receiving”. Because that’s when you are in unity and stand by the things your spouse wants and does in life. That’s when you fully support each other. Of course we both screw up plenty of times 😅 But you get it! So, have fun planning your dream wedding, but don’t forget about creating your dream marriage afterwards. Je probeert als een soort magneet alle momenten op te zuigen en die vervolgens zo goed mogelijk door je camera te fotograferen. Voor nu, voor straks, voor later. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Doordat je zoveel vast legt, is er bij thuiskomst een grote hoeveelheid aan beelden waar een selectie van moet worden gemaakt. En soms weet je van te voren dat je zoiets moois hebt gemaakt, dat je stiekem niet kunt wachten tot je thuis bent en hiermee aan de slag kunt. Om het (door jou geschoten) beeld samen met jouw bewerking te laten samenkomen. Tot leven te zien komen. Als een soort handtekening van een schilder op zijn werk, is mijn bewerking dat voor mijn foto’s. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Deze foto viel in die categorie. Deze foto is een van mijn favoriete foto’s van de bruiloft. Zo elegant, zo gracieus, zo stijlvol.
